Imagine living in a world where words have no meaning and simple conversation is a struggle. Imagine wanting a glass of orange juice and the only way to communicate that need is to point to the refrigerator door. Imagine saying "hello" to a friend, but not knowing to look at them when extending the gesture. Imagine not being able to tell your mom and dad that you feel sad or lonely.

Imagine dazzling people with your genius, and at other times frustrating them with your lack of language, social skills, and unusual behavior. Imagine crying as your parents ask you "what's wrong?," and you just can't find the words. Imagine the confusion, disappointment and distress your family will experience when they find out you have a pervasive developmental disorder such as autism, hyperlexia, Asperger's Syndrome, or another speech and language disorder.

Each one of us has our own day-to-day responsibilities important to our living. We are often caught up in the needs of the moment that we don't have the time to reflect and appreciate the things we take for granted every day. Imagine what your world would be like if you could not speak, understand language, or socialize with your peers.

Donations

You can either donate to support all services or earmark your funds to support our Help A Child Fund. This Fund provides financial assistance to children whose families are of low to modest incomes and cannot afford the needed speech/language therapy. We believe every child deserves a chance to shine and we know you do to.

Gifts of Securities

Stocks or other investments that have grown in value can become a substantial gift made at a net cost to you. You receive a charitable deduction for the donation of these assets based on their fair market value on the date of the gift. In addition, you avoid all federal capital gains tax that would otherwise be due on the sale of the assets.

Gifts That Provide Income for Life

Many givers find themselves in a position of holding assets that would make important gifts at some time in the future but are currently required to provide for present needs. By placing such property into a charitable remainder trust, a unique gift arrangement can be made that would provide income to you and your beneficiaries. At the end of a specified period (such as the donor’s or the beneficiary’s lifetime) the remainder of the trust’s assets would be transferred to us.
